Aruba... Aruba, what's in Aruba!

My family’s visit to Aruba was in the planning stages for a few years. When it was time to book a trip to Aruba, we somehow seemed to select another island to visit but I am glad we stuck to the idea of Aruba this year!
The locals were friendly and the island was beautiful. In Aruba, the locals speak Papiamento, Spanish and English. The constant trade winds bring a cool breeze to the island, so if you have hair concerns either bring a hat or let it flow! Shopping is major on the island as there are several luxury brand boutiques, such as Louis Vuitton, Bally and Gucci but there are also wonderful local stores to patronize.
I tend to complete a lot of research before traveling, so I can learn about my accommodations and the area surrounding me during my stay. Lately, Hyatt has been my hotel of choice and once again Hyatt was a great pick!
Hyatt Aruba is located on Palm Beach, which is one of the hottest spots in Aruba! Palm Beach is pretty awesome, as there are numerous hotels, stores and restaurants that are convenient to walk, so be sure to bring your walking shoes.
Hyatt Aruba offers comfort and this resort provided the right level of coziness, from the beautiful welcome plate of local fruit in my room, to the picturesque beach views right out side my window, I truly felt comfortable here. The hotel grounds were gorgeous, well maintained, offered fascistic views and the guest rooms were renovated.
I was a little apprehensive to choose a hotel that wasn’t an all-inclusive but in Aruba they really don’t exist. I have stayed at massive resorts and while Hyatt Aruba was pretty big, it was easy to walk around and adjacent to popular areas on the island. There are several restaurants on the hotel’s grounds and we chose to eat at Ruinas del Mar for breakfast, the Palms Restaurant for lunch and partake in happy hour at Piet's Pier Bar, which offered ½ off chicken wings and drinks. The frozen drinks at Hyatt were well made and having happy hour at the bars is perfect, since this hotel wasn’t an all-inclusive. There is also a snack shop that sells Haagen-Dazs ice cream, YES Haagen-Dazs, snacks, Starbucks coffee and other items, such as pastries if you don’t have a lot of time.
The hotel has one large pool that connects to a water slide and a smaller more private pool, where adults tend to gather. The Hyatt is in the process of building an adults only pool, which will add another level of exclusivity to the resort. Another perk at the resort is the availability to reserve a Palapa on the beach or chairs around the pool via online. This was a plus because beach space is always a high commodity and having the convenience of reserving space ahead of time made things easier, especially with kids. Did I mention this resort was kid friendly!
A summer trip to the beautiful island of Aruba was well worth the wait. So if you are looking for a quality resort with great amenities, service and conveniences, I think you will be more than pleased with the Hyatt Aruba, as I plan to take a trip back to test out the adult pool when it opens in 2020!
