A Powerful Figure with a Figure

I have always had a passion for fashion and even majored in Fashion in college, so being a fashionista runs deep through my veins. Growing up with a little lagniappe (a New Orleans term for something given as a bonus or extra gift) figure wasn’t easy and finding clothing that was stylish, trendy and comfortable was a challenge, non the less. Everything on the market in the 90’s was either too baggy, not in my age group or just plain DREADFUL to wear.

Fast forward to 2019 and it’s amazing to walk into a store like Nordstromrack (who BTW has this Joseph A Plaid Print Hooded Cardigan for around $34 which is next on my list, see link below) and Marshalls or browse online stores like Forever21, Pretty Little Thing or Eloquii, (which by the way their Refinery 29 x ELOQUII campaign is a refined collection of animal prints, faux fur and metallic, can a woman ask for anything else)?!

Back to my point, the options are endless and there are outfits for any occasion, color and size, that not only fit well but are also trendy. We all want to feel that we can take on the day and even the world with confidence and we can do it all, while looking good and feeling comfortable in our own skin. So, own the room and take on the day (don’t let the day take you) and express your style in a way that is powerful, because we are all a Figure of Power and that’s a Powerful thing!
